Usage of Serum Separation Gel

1. For the production of separation gel-coagulant tubes. Serum separation gel can be used with coagulants for biochemical tests such as liver function, renal function, blood glucose, and blood lipid tests.
    
2. For the production of separation gel-anticoagulant tubes (e.g., additives such as dipotassium EDTA, tripotassium EDTA, lithium heparin, sodium heparin, sodium citrate). In tubes containing coagulants, separation gel enables rapid serum extraction, which facilitates serum biochemistry, immunology, and biological detection.
    

Advantages of Serum Separation Gel

1. Better phase separation performance

    

   In phase separation experiments with different types of separation gel added to various test tubes, inverted after centrifugation, high-performance resin separation gel shows better colloidal stability and no oil exudation compared with other separation gels.
    
2. Better solvent compatibility

    

   Experiments with separation gel and other reagents in test tubes show that high-performance resin separation gel has better solvent compatibility. It is not only more tolerant to common blood collection tube additives, but also compatible with alcoholic organic reagents such as ethanol and isopropanol.
    
3. Excellent irradiation resistance

    

   After removing all bubbles in separation gel-containing test tubes, irradiation treatment is performed at a dose of 25 kGy. Tests of specific gravity, viscosity, appearance, and inversion indicators before and after irradiation show stable performance, no bubbles after irradiation, superior to other brands of separation gel.
    
4. Higher gel filling efficiency

    

   Compared with other separation gels, high-performance resin separation gel has higher gel filling efficiency at room and low temperatures, and its efficiency at high temperatures is comparable to imported brands.
